The Reflections Memory Care Community proudly welcomes Michele “Mikki” Streeter to the position of Director of Resident Care. Mikki, who came to the Reflections on November 23, 2009, has her M.A. from Western Michigan University and has an extensive background in social work. Mikki has worked closely with all facets pertaining to the relational dynamics of families. Her knowledge and compassion brings resident and family members a better understanding of the effects of dementia and provides solid reassurance that residents will receive dignified care in a secure, home-like environment.
As a full time Director, Mikki will be accessible on a daily basis, able to answer the questions of family members and guide them through the myriad of challenges associated with having a loved one diagnosed with memory impairment. Her focus will be to prepare a care plan designed for each resident as an individual which will offer each person the highest quality of life under difficult and ever-changing circumstances. Mikki's positive “can-do” attitude coupled with her team approach inspires fellow staff members. That approach sets the tone for staff to greet each day with renewed enthusiasm and a passion to be the best care-providers in Battle Creek, …..as seniors have received from the Ganton Communities for three generations.
